You can force the LFConnector to utilize the same TCP/IP address by setting a static TCP/IP address on one of your network adapters, specifically Microsoft's virtual Loopback Adapter.  To implement the Microsoft Loopback Adapter, follow the following instructions (you only need to do this once):
  • Install Microsoft's virtual Loopback adapter (for details see Microsoft technical article KB839013)
  • Assign a static IP address to this new virtual adapter
  • Activate the LFConnector using this new static IP address for the Loopback adapter in the eCopy ShareScan OP Administration Console

To demonstrate the LFConnector at an offsite location:
  • Temporarily disable any present "real" network adapters in the system (e.g. wired and/or wireless)
  • After  your demonstration is complete, re-enable each of the "real" network adapters in your system
